T.G. Green is the company name – Cornishware is the name of the pattern, originally named Cornish Kitchen Ware with the distinctive shield backstamp still used today. To learn all about us, pop on the kettle and have a read of this:
Cornishware is made by traditional clay slip casting methods: blue glaze-dipped and hand-decorated. The raised, coloured bands are a feature of Cornishware from when it was first made by a turning method in the 1920s, most likely 1926.
Take a look here – it will tell you all you need to know:
Cornishware was traditionally made in Church Gresley, Derbyshire. Since 2008, after the factory closed when the parent company went into administration in 2007, production moved abroad and now we are working with a group of very talented potters based in China. We work closely with the factory to ensure the highest quality, and train all the staff ourselves.
All our products are dishwasher, microwave safe and oven-proof up to 225ºC. Do not place items on a direct source of heat, e.g. halogen burner, electric hob, or gas burner, or directly from freezer to hot oven.
We most certainly do.
No, unfortunately we don’t.
Sadly not… We only send directly via our couriers.
We try and send orders as quickly as we can. Please do give us a ring if you need to amend an order.
We hope you will be completely satisfied with your order. If for any reason you are not completely happy, please return your purchases within 30 days of delivery, in unused condition and complete with packaging. Regrettably, we are unable to exchange goods unless they are returned in unused condition and in their original packaging. Returns and goods ordered in error will be subject to a handling charge of 10% if not returned within 30 days of invoice date.
Please advise firstname.lastname@example.org that you will be returning items, the reason, and please include your original order number in the returns package.

You need to enter the code exactly as it was given to you, without any spaces. Type or copy and paste the code into the promotional code box at checkout. Once you hit ‘apply’, it should deduct the discount from the total amount in your shopping basket.
The money will be taken as soon as your order is placed.

All our standard items come in lovely stripey gift boxes – our sale items are the only ones that don’t. You can also leave a personal message for the receiver at the checkout.
We have a pretty swanky newsletter that gets sent out regularly. Sign up to it here: https://www.cornishware.co.uk/customer/account/create/
Log into your account, go to ‘My orders’ and it will tell you what you’ve bought to date.
You can set up a new one here:
Only handle it with silk gloves and talk to it regularly. Only joking – it’s pretty durable so as long as you don’t smash it on the floor, it should be fine.
Cornishware is easy to clean, either using a dishwasher or by hand-washing using conventional detergents.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions if using a dishwasher. We recommend liquid detergents over powder and advise against using detergents with additives as they can have a long-term detrimental effect on ceramic glazes by dulling and can cause colors to fade. Heavy duty detergents, scouring powders, or abrasive pads should never be used.

Definitely not. Only if you have said you are happy to hear from our prize-giver in the case of a competition.
Brilliant! We have a policy that we only sell to a few select retailers in one area so email us on email@example.com and we will be able to help.
We hold a sale on all our seconds and discontinued stock twice a year during January and June. Numbers of each piece are often quite low so no time to dawdle if you see something you like.
Where can I find the T&Cs to the competition I have entered?
You can find our T&Cs here: http://www.cornishware.co.uk/blog/terms-conditions/
