These terms of sale apply to our website(s). By accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. Before placing an order, if you have any questions relating to these terms and conditions please email [email protected] with your query.

1. The website and you

2. Order acknowledgement and acceptance

When you place an order online we will automatically send you an order confirmation email. Our acceptance of your order is not complete until we have picked the products for dispatch and sent you a dispatch confirmation email. If for any reason we are not able to complete your order we will also contact you be email and any payment made for the order will be refunded in full. Orders that contain both non-personalised and personalised orders will be dispatched together, as soon as the personalised items are completed, this usually takes up to 10 working days.

3. Product

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct. However, specifications and descriptions of products are only intended to give a general description of the products and are not intended to be binding. Furthermore, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you. Every piece of our pottery is carefully checked before it leaves our factory. Because each item is handmade, sometimes little imperfections appear - that’s what we call a “second.” This might mean a slight flaw in the glaze, decoration, or shape, but nothing that affects how it works. A first-quality piece has a smooth, shiny glaze with no rough edges, neat lettering, and colors that match our signature shades. Small imperfections, like a tiny pinhole or minor blemish, are acceptable within our standards, but anything more noticeable becomes a second. Every second is still completely usable, just with a bit more character! Please note, we still have some stock of items which were made overseas whilst we brought production back to the UK. These items are: Rosie Teapot and Honey & Marmalade.

4. Personalisation

Upon placing your order, all requests for personalised items are deemed final. We encourage a thorough review of names or messages submitted for personalisation, as refunds or replacements are limited strictly to faults in the products. Orders containing personalised and non-personalised items will be shipped within 10 working days as a single package. Unfortunately, express delivery options are not applicable to personalised items. In our commitment to excellence, only first-quality personalised pieces are dispatched, leading to occasional remakes and the potential discounted resale of imperfect samples. We’re unable to print emojis during personalisation, please only enter text. We reserve the right to decline personalisation requests considered inappropriate or offensive.

5. Payment

Our website(s) uses the Adyen checkout service. Adyen securely processes the payment transaction while your order is processed by TG Green & Co Ltd. Customers can pay using Visa, Mastercard or Maestro debit or credit cards, or use PayPal or Klarna.

6. Delivery

Most UK and European orders are dispatched with DPD, who will send you an email and text message (if you provided a mobile number) to provide a delivery status and options to update address, or instructions to leave in safe place etc. On the morning of the delivery DPD will send you your 1 hour delivery window. Overseas (non European) orders are delivered by FedEx. Our warehouse is open for business Monday to Friday except bank holidays. Orders are processed for delivery on a first come first served basis unless a dispatch date is specified. Every effort will be made to meet specified dispatch dates, however we cannot guarantee dates will be met in every case. We do ask that deliveries are signed for. If there is no one available to receive the package and the couriers are not able to complete the delivery they will leave a card explaining how to pick up from the nearest post office. Please note personalised items are unavailable for express delivery. For current delivery timescales please see our Delivery page.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Under the distance selling regulations you have the right to cancel your order with seven days of receiving your delivery. We hope and expect that you will be completely satisfied with your order. If for any reason you are not completely happy with your order of a first quality product please return your purchases within 30 days of delivery, in unused condition and complete with packaging. Please advise Customer Services of any returns via email or phone 01749 880 992. Regrettably we are unable to exchange goods unless they are returned in unused condition and in their original packaging. Unfortunately we are not able to accept returns on seconds or personalised items unless there is a fault which means the product is unusable. Returns and goods ordered in error will be subject to the customer returning at their cost within 30 days of invoice date. 8. Gift Cards

Our Gift Cards are delivered digitally via email. The purchaser of the gift card can select to have the email sent to them, or directly to the recipient, at time of order, or at a future date of their choosing. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from date of issue, and are redeemable online at www.cornishware.co.uk.

9. Mystery Boxes

Our mystery boxes (little, large, and mug mystery boxes) contain randomly selected seconds quality item/s. Items are subject to our usual returns policy, but cannot be exchanged for a different colour.

10. Overseas Orders, Customs & Duties

All international orders are charged at the same retail price (RRP) as UK orders. UK prices include VAT. For orders delivered outside the UK, VAT is not charged; however, the equivalent value contributes towards the additional costs associated with processing and shipping international orders. This ensures consistent pricing for all customers, regardless of location. Please note: For customers in the EU, Cornishware covers all customs and duties charges. Customers in countries outside the EU may incur local import duties, taxes or customs fees, which are the responsibility of the recipient.

12. Summer Rose Pre-Order

Items from the Summer Rose Mother’s Day collection are available on a pre-order basis. The estimated lead time for delivery is 3–4 weeks from the date of purchase. Please note that this lead time is an estimate and may be extended in the event of unforeseen production, supply chain, or logistical delays. Should any delays occur, we will notify customers as soon as possible via the email address provided at checkout. By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept that delivery dates are not guaranteed and may be subject to change. Pre-orders will be dispatched as soon as the items become available.
